Yup, I’m kickin’ it old school for New Year’s this year. Heading back to where it all started for PMB . . . Richmond, VA! That’s right: Down The Hatch New Year’s 2011 will take place in this historic capital city. I will be taking over the Commonwealth Park Suites (CPS) along with the Capital Ale House, walking distance away. Just recently I got a taste of how hospitable this hotel is, and they’re excited to help us host another Down The Hatch.

On Friday, December 30 from 8 PM -12 AM we are setting up shop in the intimate downstairs ballroom of the CPS with a private bar. CPS will offer $5.00 drinks all night long while special guests & I perform two unique sets: “Aw Shucks, Thanks!” (songs that I am most proud of writing) and “Aww, C’mon!” (songs that blew me away and shaped me as a songwriter). When we’re not performing we’ll be hanging with you guys and taking in some music hand-selected by yours truly. Come in your favorite concert T. I’ve already got mine picked out, and it’s nearly threadbare.

Your VIP DTH ticket not only gets you into the big show on December 31 at Capital Ale House, but your party starts earlier on New Year’s Eve–VIPs get to come in a full 90 minutes early to check out a set of tunes you requested (via e-mail correspondence with me)—tunes we won’t be playing later that night!

I really wanted to change things up a bit this year and return to our more casual roots. That’s not to say I won’t be tuxin’ it for the big show on the 31st, but we wanted to do something a lil’ bit more homegrown to ring in 2012! My goal this year was to keep costs down, while still delivering to you all a fantastically good time that stands up to all my Down The Hatch events. In a sense, putting the ball in your court so that you pay only for what you need–food and drinkwise.

The New Year’s Eve show on Saturday Dec 31st will be a barn burner! Two full sets with some of the best musicians I have ever had the pleasure of sharing the stage with. When the band isn’t melting faces, I’ll be spinning some booty shakin’ dance jams. Options to purchase discounted drinks and meal ticket/packages will be made available through Capital Ale House soon.

You choose whether you want to pre-order a VIP ticket at $99 each or a regular ticket for just the New Year’s Eve party at Capital Ale House at $40 per person. Either way, we are offering a pre-sale for PMB fans only that offers you a significant savings starting now running through November 30. (The event is not yet on sale at Capital Ale House). Please note that after the pre-sale on December 1, VIP ticket prices will go up to $119 and regular New Year’s Eve Party-only ticket prices will also go up.
